Ok, well I think 20 is enough pictures to torture you guys with. I hope you enjoyed. I know they are a little late but the week was a hectic one. There are no pics from the victory against Chi-town. I was too busy having crazy eye contact with the boys during warm-ups.

Tonight… the Ducks. In Anaheim. It should be a good game!

I also heard Goldfinger’s Superman and was bouncing around in my car. What a great song to hear when leaving the game cuz you know… my boys are my supermen! Although I did threaten one of the Blackhawks tonight after he was pushing down on my Pru’s neck.

So, the Coyotes won 3-1. And if I could pick 2 number one stars of the game they would be Marty (the real winner) and Fiddy. Both were amazing defensively. Fiddy OWNS the PK. OMG.

We currently have two rappers. Who came up to join Fiddy? None other than the real Schlem Shady. WHO PLAYED AWESOME! Schlem! I love you!

I also love Sami. That boy has been amazing for us this season. Our defense has really stepped up this year and especially now with Z out for who knows how long. We also saw Sauer. He came and sat in the section next to us for awhile in the third. Please come back soon Sauer. We miss you and love you.

The best moment of the night was Winnik’s Z impression. He went to block the shot and rolled across the ice. It was awesome!

The best fan moment? There were two… the first was when the Blackhawks’ goal was disallowed, the Coyotes fans stood up and cheered. It was nice to see after the Chicago fans were starting to get cocky after that goal. The second was when there was about 30 seconds left the fans stood and cheered for the boys. We may not have many fans right now but the ones we have are solid. They are really behind the boys and I can get behind that.

I am crediting this win to warm ups. It was a bit wacky in warm ups and made me feel a bit uncomfortable. First LaBarbera tried to stare me down but I wouldn’t have any of that. At least he has stopped winking. Then there was the stare-down with Pyatt, which was kind of intense. I blame it on those eyes. They are so amazing looking and to just stare at them is kind of intimidating. Then Pru was looking at us. This is something Pru never does, so it was little weird. And finally Lombo. WTF Lombo? You were in a goofy mood tonight. You were making some faces at me and then when Yotesgurl noticed and yelled, “Lombo” you gave us the eyebrows and a goofy grin. I mean, I’m not complaining. It was fun but I am a bit concerned, as I have never seen you be that playful before.

Whatever you boys did before the game tonight…. keep it up. It worked for you. The game was exciting and so much better then the last two games. But please work on staying out of the box. You are all spending way too much time in the box!

I am trying to figure out who will be benched next game. Mueller was benched and got a goal tonight. Uppy was previously benched and has taken less penalties and scored. Will it be Pru? How about Vrby? Or Pyatt? Tonight the scratches were Korpo and Boeds. Will Boeds be sent down? Will he be given another chance? So many ways Tippett could go.

Next up… the Ducks. In Anaheim. Big game boys. Let’s make sure they know we still aren’t ok with them taking out our Captain. Let’s make sure the douche-bag really gets the message again. He will just be back after his two game suspension for that hit so I am sure he will be hungry.

Aiight, time to sign off and go watch some Project Runway.

And all the stupid penalties? MY LORD. We need to figure out why those boys are loving the sin bin right now. (ok… Yotesgurl and I might have figured it out. We heard Pru keeps his juice boxes in there)

I could barely watch the game for the first 40 minutes. Then we played like an exciting 10 minutes and then sucked for the 10 minutes. Ugh, I can’t think about this anymore.

Aiight. I am done, going to bed.

One thing I noticed was how people put LaBarbara up on such a pedestal after his play a few games ago and now they are practically asking for his head. I was not happy with this signing and I knew that he wouldn’t always play amazing but I will say the loss to LA was no entirely LaBarbara’s fault. That loss was a team effort. I can’t think of one player that was amazing Monday night but I can think of a lot of guys that just weren’t quite there.

I said it at the start of the season…. the team to beat would be LA and people laughed at me. They said, “Yah right”. And I just kept saying we had better watch out. They are quite similar to us in where their rebuild is at and they are hungry to win.

I believe part of our problem could be that we only had about 17 SOGs at the end of the 2nd. That is not going to get you 6 or 7 goals. You need to keep shooting at the net boys, eventually it will go in. And those 17 shots we did take? They were pretty weak.

We spent way too much time in our own zone. When we finally would get control of the puck we’d sit in the neutral zone because we couldn’t penetrate the King’s zone.

There was just poor effort all around. Jovo was back to his damnjovo self. What happened to the Jovo I was cheering for against the Ducks? Can I have him back? He might actually be worth 6 million/season.

In other news Boedker was recalled today. Scottie was injured in the Kings game and may be out for a few games.

Aiight, time to pay attention to the Colorado/Coyotes game. Boys are stinking it up again. We are down 1-0 after the first. Booooooooooo

I can’t help it. I love them goalies.

That’s all i got for tonight. I have some pics I will post later (boys looking good in their white jerseys) and maybe a longer post. Now I must get some sleep. Tomorrow is my early day.

Freaking James Wisniewski. That boy, along with the rest of the Ducks, now have giant targets on them. The Coyotes and their fans will not forget what happened to their Captain last night. It was the same kind of hit that had two other players leaving the ice on stretches early this season. I used to be ambiguous about hits to the head, but these kind of hits have to stop. These are not accidental hits to the head. These are full on intentional, could have been avoided hits. And those are just wrong.

For a moment I thought I was watching a football game the way Wisniewski (from this point on he will be known as Douche-bag) went after Doan. Then Doan was down for a long time and no whistle to stop play. The fans were on their feet. Finally Doaner got up but stumbled and fell right back down. The refs were checking to see if he was ok but still no whistle and no stoppage of play. We had tears in our eyes because we didn’t know if our Captain was ok. We had never seen him fall trying to get up. It was a very stressful moment to see our Captain in that position. But he was back very shortly after that and the game was taken up a notch.

First to respond was Yandle who dropped the gloves with Douche-bag as soon as the refs finally stopped the play. He may not have fought good, but he fought. He earned a gold star for that one. After that, all the guys got in on the act. At the end of the first period I thought there would be a huge fight. Jovo was barking at someone. Marty had Douche-bag (and looked like he didnt know what to do). Everyone was going after a Duck. I was trying to pay attention but I had Yotesgurl grabbing one shoulder shouting “MARTY” and The Yotes Diva grabbing my other shoulder shouting “JOVO! He;s barking at that Duck! JOVO!”

We were on our feet so many times tonight. I felt like I really was in church. There were so many fights. So many scrums. It was one of the best games I have ever been to. Just the way the boys responded was amazing. Since the refs weren’t calling much and the Ducks were dirty, the boys started to play dirty. There were elbows flying, shoves and Scottie appeared to knee Niedermayer in the face. I have never seen the opponent bench get so much action from the Coyotes. It was quite busy with our boys getting a little pay back in as the Ducks went for a line change.

Douche-bag also fought with Shane Doan, in which Doan promptly kicked his ass. Once he had Douche-bag down he gave him one last good punch. It was very Carcillo-esque when Doan got up, hair flowing, jersey askew and the crowd on their feet cheering him on.

Bissonnette went with Parros. Paul seemed to hold his own against a much larger Parros. There were a few other times it looked like they would go again.

There were many other scraps and stuff but I can’t remember them all. There was just so much going on. This is going to be a good series this season.

Lang got our first goal of the night. Fiddy tied it up. Radim got the only goal in the shoot out as Bryz shut down all three ducks. Bryz had a really good night (this does not mean I am on the Bryz bandwagon.. he still has a lot to prove to me).

At one point we had four Coyotes in the box but our PK unit was excellent. We had Sami, Fiddy and Adrian out for the 5 on 3 for almost a full two minutes. Those boys worked hard. I need to come up with a reward for them. Gold stars are just not enough. Yes, the ducks did score, but it was one of those things that was inevitable. But damn, I was impressed.

And can I say… I really hate the delay of game, puck over glass penalty. I really think it should not be a freaking penalty. It’s such a lame ass penalty and the only one who ever gets it is Z. Now, you would say, “shouldn’t Z work on that” but to me it does not seem intentional. He is just trying to get the puck out of the zone during PK. Let’s make it more like icing and just have a face off or something. It’s such a  bullshit penalty. It seriously needs to go away.

Muhammad Ali was in Doug Moss’ suite tonight. The crowd gave him a standing ovation when he was shown on the jumbo-tron.

Keith Yandle had a Jovo moment, while Jovo had one heck of a game. I actually cheered for Jovo. WTF? Was it a Freaky Friday d-man switch? Yandle was standing in the Ducks zone and someone passed him the puck. He just stood there as the puck flew by him and out of the zone. Still not sure what he was looking at…

The Coyotes are now 9-4. How is that for a start of the season? We are second in the Pacific. One point and one game behind the Sharks. And it looks like we are 3rd in the West. Colorado, San Jose, Phoenix, Chicago. Dang. Keep it up boys, keep it up!!!

I must apologize loyal readers. I did not blog about the road trip. I didn’t watch 2 of the 3 games. I did listen to some of them on the radio. We lost to the Rangers. We beat the Bluejackets and shut out the Blues. All-in-all it was a successful road trip.

Tippett benched Scottie in the blues game because he took too many penalties in the Bluejackets game. Mueller was benched against the Ducks last night. Tippett is my new hero. He is calling out the players and he isn’t afraid to tell/show them that they need to step it up. This is something Gretzky would have never done. It’s amazing what a good coach can do.

I cannot wait to see where this season takes us. I am still feeling a playoff run.

On a side note… I am very disappointed in the Coyotes. They were going to have blanket night in November. I got my ticket and had a great sign idea (My blanket scores more than Heatly – ahahahaha) and now? They freaking move it to December 26th. The day after Christmas. WTF? I bought my plane ticket in June because I need to go home for Christmas this year. So now I am missing out on blanket night. It is my favorite give-a-way and really the only one I want. And now I can’t get it. Freaking sucks. Way to go Coyotes. Let’s alienate some more fans with your horrible front office. This is the second time this season the operations has pissed me off.

In other news… Ryan is back! OMG. My ticket guy is back. YAY! Maybe I can actually get some GOOD service from someone in the Coyotes operation.

Annnnnnnnnnnnd if you made it through all of that, congrats. You have earned yourself a hot dog.

I think our other players have found Jesus in the penalty box. They have been spending an awful lot of time in there.  At one point we had two Czechs in there tonight. If Jesus isn’t in there, I am not sure why they all keep going in there. The only other option is candy. I didn’t see a hot girl in there so it must be Jesus or food.

Tonight’s game was disappointing but it had its moments. There were plenty of times I was sitting on the edge of my seat, grabbing the chair in front of me (good thing the guy sitting there relocated after the first). The boys could have played better in the 2nd but overall it seemed to be a good effort. There were a few players I wish would have had stronger games as they all but disappeared.

Thankfully this game Scottie’s girlfriend was not sitting in front of us. We were free to have our running player commentary and make fun of Scottie’s hair. And we didn’t have to watch him make goggly eyes at her before faceoffs. That was kind of awkward.

The best player on the ice continues to be Pru. He also had the crunch of the game. Go Pru!

Surprisingly I found my self cheering for Jovo at times. Well, just a couple of times. I can’t make that a habit. People will think I’ve become soft. I was so surprised. Jovo actually kept the puck in. I was truly amazed. I told him that earned him $10,000 of his six mil.

Yandle got some air tonight. He jumped to stop the puck and I don’t think I have ever seen a hockey player get that much height! Well, except Quick when he had to leapfrog over Scottie.

It was a disappointing loss, especially since it was to LA. I had commented after the Wings game to someone that Saturday was going to be a big game. I said that because LA is also hot right now and we always seem to be competing with them for last place. I thought it would be good to win this one as we will need as many division wins as possible and if we can prove we can beat the Red Wings (its about time), then we need to prove we can beat anyone. But you know what? We still play the Kings 4 more times this season and there is plenty of time for either team to implode and fade quickly. Hopefully that will not happen to the Coyotes because well, we need them to prove to the world we are not the joke they think we are.

Anyway… We are 6-3-0 right now. I will take that. We need to be more disciplined and stay out of the damn box. It’s going to be a long season but I still think we will make the playoffs. I think we are definitely headed in the right direction.

I am sure the papers will make all kinds of excuses for why Detroit lost. Because you know, the Coyotes couldn’t possible actual win on their own accord. I will say, they did not play their best through the first two periods, but they ramped it up toward the end of the third. They fought hard to come back and win the game.

A big thanks to Chris Osgood. Yah, for giving us the win in OT. That was awesome. Of course the goal was not credited to Osgood but to Aucoin (his second for the night, WTG Adrian!)
